Strawberry Avocado Salad
Fresh strawberries and creamy avocado come together in this bright, satisfying salad that works as a side dish or light lunch. The combination sounds unusual but tastes incredible—sweet berries balance the rich avocado while a simple lime dressing ties everything together.
You’ll have this ready in 15 minutes with no cooking required.
Choosing Ripe Avocados Without the Guesswork
The key to great avocado salad is fruit that’s ripe but still firm enough to hold its shape when mixed. Look for avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure but don’t feel mushy. The skin should be dark green to nearly black.
If your avocados are too firm, place them in a paper bag with a banana overnight. Too soft? They’ll work fine—just add them to the salad last and fold them in very gently to prevent mashing.
