Easy S’mores Bars with Marshmallows and Chocolate
Growing up, s'mores were a special occasion thing. You needed a fire, the right weather, and a lot of patience. These bars changed all of that for me, and now this recipe is one of the most requested things I make for potlucks, bake sales, and lazy Sunday afternoons.
You'll find this comes together with ingredients you probably already have, no fire required. We're talking golden graham cracker crust, melted chocolate, and toasted marshmallows all in one pan. Let's create something worth sharing.

Easy S'mores Bars with Marshmallows and Chocolate
All the campfire flavor you love, baked into a chewy, gooey bar you can make any time of year.
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups graham cracker crumbs , about 18 full crackers crushed
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter , melted
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 cups mini marshmallows , divided
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk , 14 oz

Tips & Notes
- Crush graham crackers in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin if you don't have a food processor. It works just as well and feels satisfying.
- Line your pan with enough parchment that it hangs over the sides a bit. Those overhanging edges act as handles and make lifting the whole slab out so much easier.
- If your marshmallows are browning too fast, loosely tent a piece of foil over the pan for the last few minutes of baking.
- For cleaner cuts, run your knife under hot water and wipe it dry between each slice. The bars cut much neater when the knife is warm.
- These bars taste even better the next day once everything has fully set and the flavors have had time to settle together.

Why Sweetened Condensed Milk Makes These Work
A lot of s'mores bar recipes use just butter and chocolate, and they taste good. But sweetened condensed milk is the ingredient that takes this recipe somewhere special. It binds the chocolate into a rich, fudgy layer that stays soft even after the bars cool completely.
It also acts as the glue holding all three layers together. Without it, you'd get crumbs and chocolate and marshmallows that slide apart when you pick up a bar. With it, every bite stays intact and delivers that full s'mores experience in one clean piece.
Making These Bars Your Own
Once you've made this recipe once, you'll start seeing all kinds of possibilities. Swap the semi-sweet chips for milk chocolate if you want something sweeter, or try dark chocolate for a slightly more grown-up bar. A handful of peanut butter chips layered in with the chocolate is a combination our household keeps coming back to.
You can also press a few whole graham crackers into the top before baking for extra crunch and that classic s'mores look. This is the kind of recipe that welcomes your own spin, so treat it as a starting point and have fun with it.
